A Company Founded on Honoring God and Serving Seniors

This past summer MorningStar Senior Living proudly celebrated our 15-year anniversary. Our company was founded by Ken Jaeger who still serves as the CEO.  After many years in the senior living industry, Ken began MorningStar out of a desire to establish his own brand of senior living.  He explains, “It was 2003. I had a dream to start a senior housing company that was defined by the human touch. I wanted to re-create my grandmother’s house, a place where one can go and feel a sense of family.”

   

In Ken’s quest for a name for his company, MorningStar leapt out at Ken from a verse in the Bible, where Jesus said, “I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”  Sharing the name with his wife, she mentioned she had read a verse talking about Jesus as the Morning Star in 2Peter (“…you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts”) earlier that day.  When Ken came across another reference to “MorningStar” as the name of a woman in an article about abject poverty on an Indian Reservation, it clichéd the name for a company that would serve seniors as well as relieve poverty around the world. 

Since our beginning in 2003, the MorningStar Company has grown across the Western U.S. as has our Denver area communities.  Located throughout the greater Denver area, they now include: MorningStar at Arvada; MorningStar at Jordan; MorningStar of Littleton; MorningStar at RidgeGate; MorningStar of Wheat Ridge; and Parker Senior Living by MorningStar in Parker. All of our beautiful residential homes are seeking quality individuals to fill a variety of assisted living jobs ranging from Care Managers, Medication Care Managers/QMAP, Concierges, Cooks, Dining Room Servers and Supervisors, Housekeepers and more.
