When you hang out with seniors, you get the chance to hear about their various backgrounds and interesting careers and to be inspired by their life-long perseverance.  They can help you see what is really important in life, and you use their life lessons to develop more rewarding relationships with our own family.  Also you will come away with a better understanding of the aging process and increased empathy for those suffering from illnesses and disabilities.
